There are many choices of liquid silicone for the medical device designer. Medical grade silicone goes through rigorous testing to certify that it is a Class VI Silicone.

focus is on medical liquid silicone molding for prototypes and short-runs. We have the ability to process silicone in amounts as small as 40 ml.

When designing a silicone mold we work with the medical designer to determine parting lines, durometer, surface finish, etc. We make suggestions on the part design to increase the manufacturability of the part.   One of the major issues with tool design is determining the shrink value. If shrinking is expected to be an issue, we will cut a test cavity of similar shape and size to determine the shrinkage value.

Micro features for medical applications are dependent on how small and accurate you can machine the mold. We use micro end mills as small as .005" (.127mm) in diameter to machine molds with fine details.

We will provide certification documentation of material used by Albright Technologies, Inc. as well as a copy of the material manufacturer certification documentation.
